At East Village Dental, we can help brighten, whiten, and enhance your smile with our range of teeth whitening treatments.

What is teeth whitening?

Teeth whitening has become a very popular cosmetic dentistry treatment. Designed to leave the teeth looking whiter and brighter, teeth whitening treatments can be used either at home or in the practice. They target and penetrate the surface enamel of the teeth, breaking down any discoloured molecules which may be present with hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide.

How does the treatment work?

First, you’ll decide whether you want a home-based treatment or a combination treatment that uses both a home-based system and a final in-practice treatment. For home-based treatments, you’ll wear a specially formulated whitening gel with custom-made whitening trays at home for either a couple of hours a day or overnight.

Why choose teeth whitening?

Our teeth darken naturally as we age and this discolouration can be exacerbated by lifestyle and diet decisions such as smoking, drinking red wine, tea, and coffee, and eating coloured foods. It can also be affected by oral health issues. Teeth whitening is a simple, non-invasive treatment that can enhance and improve your smile, leaving you feeling more confident.

How much whiter will my teeth be?

This varies from patient to patient and is dependent on factors such as diet and lifestyle, as well as genetics. While we can’t say for sure just how much whiter your teeth will be, patients who whiten their teeth invariably feel much more confident and happier about their smile after.

How long do the results last for?

Again, this is dependent on lifestyle and diet factors and varies from patient to patient. The results can last from several months up to three years. We can offer advice on how to maintain your whiter smile, and there are top-up options available when needed.

Very nice clinic. Facilities look clean and modern, and the operation of three teeth extraction was done in just a couple of minutes. The dentist was really good and obviously very experienced. Also her dental assistant was kind and explained to me clearly what to do after getting an extraction Thank you for your service!

Just had my second appointment and I cannot recommend this practice enough. From the receptionist (all are kind but Grace especially was so helpful) getting me my initial appointment during a busy period to Dr Leah who did my filling for me. After shopping the area for a good dentist, I can say that this is the best. Thank you Grace & thank you Dr Leah, see you again in 3 months.
